How to delete your account

You can request the permanent deletion of your Mayor Exchange account and all associated data through two primary methods:

Method 1: In-App (Recommended)

Open the Mayor Exchange app and log in.
Go to the Settings screen (cog icon).
Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
Type "DELETE" to confirm and tap Permanently Delete Account.

This process is immediate and will log you out instantly.

Method 2: Via Email Request

If you no longer have access to the app, you can request deletion by emailing our support team:

Email: support@mayorexchange.com
Subject: Account Deletion Request - [Your Registered Email]
Verification: Please send the request from the email address associated with your account. We may ask for additional verification to ensure account security.

Irreversible Action

Please note that deleting your account will result in the immediate and permanent loss of:

Any remaining NGN or USDT wallet balances
Your saved bank accounts and profile settings
Your transaction history within the app interface

Data Retention Policy

In accordance with global financial regulations and Nigerian Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws, we are required to retain certain data for a specified period even after account deletion:

KYC Documents: Retained for a minimum of 5 years as required by AML regulations.
Financial Transaction Records: Retained for a minimum of 7 years for regulatory audit and financial reporting compliance.

All other data, including your login credentials, profile details, and preferences, will be permanently removed from our active systems upon completion of the deletion request.
